The Rockinghorse Nursery is open all year with the exception of all Bank Holidays and one week at Christmas when we all have a rest!
We accept all children under the age of 5yrs.
Children can attend on any day from Monday to Friday - for a whole day or just for a morning or an afternoon session (8.00am to 1.00pm or 1.00pm to 6.00pm).
Children can attend:
On a Contractual basis: - where your place is guaranteed.
Extra days: - where you occasionally require days in addition to your contracted days.
'On the Day': - as and when you require childcare, maybe you would like a quiet day to yourself or have appointments - just ring us to check vacancies on the day, or in advance if you know which day/s you will require.
In Emergency situations: - where you may require childcare at short notice, please ring us for available vacancies on the day.
Opening Times
Monday-Friday: 8am to 6pm
We are closed all Bank Holidays and for 1 week at Christmas - normal fees are payable during these closures.
CHARGES: - CONTRACTED/EMMERGENCY/ON THE DAY/EXTRA DAYS
Full Day: £39.00 (8.00am to 6.00pm) for all ages.
Half day: £21.00 (8.00am to 1.00pm or 1.00pm to 6.00pm) for all ages.
All Bank Holidays, the Christmas closure and child absences are charged for.
Reductions are given for children eligible for the Government's Education Grant.
Parents are asked to provide all food and nappies please. We ask this for health and safety reasons to ensure that children with allergies are not exposed to any foods or chemicals which may be harmful to them.
How to arrange a visit
Because every child is unique, we like to give every parent a tour of the nursery. This gives us an opportunity to learn a little about both the parent's and the child's needs and to answer any questions you may have. We also arrange six free visits to the Nursery as part of our settling in policy, this enables us to build up good relationships with both parents and child.
Visits may not be possible for Emergency or 'On the Day' childcare but we will do our best to fit one in if at all possible.

How to find us
We are situated in the centre of Hethersett on Great Melton Road just down from the local shops and Post Office. We are within easy driving distance of the Thickthorn Park and Ride, and we are on the main bus route into Norwich.
